In this role, you will work within Market Operations as we experiment and roll-out new programs and processes for the Market Operations teams across the United States. This high-impact role is ideal for someone eager to share their expertise in traditional staffing, openly provide feedback on current processes, and support iterative pilots as we collectively develop sourcing, screening and onboarding solutions for workers across all worker classifications looking for long-term work placements.

This is a 6-month contract with potential to extend. The position requires availability during business hours Monday - Friday but occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

We welcome qualified candidates located in the following areas: Inland Empire (e.g. San Bernardino, Redlands, Corona, Chino, Riverside, Ontario, etc), Orange County, or South or East LA area.

What you'll do:

  • Bring an expert level of knowledge on effective outbound recruiting strategies, best screening practices and optimal onboarding experiences to place and retain workers
  • Develop and update job descriptions and specifications to ensure the Recruiting Team is well-equipped for interviews, and workers receive an accurate depiction of work environment and expectations
  • Source and attract candidates by using various outbound recruiting platforms and managing experiments to determine effectiveness
  • Schedule and conduct interviews to screen candidates for various roles across the United States
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes. Maintain notes of each interview and ensure Standard Operating Procedures are maintained in an organized work-flow
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and surface these to ensure seamless experience for both the recruiting and relevant stakeholders
  • Support both Wonolo app and W-2 onboarding processes, managing the applicants and working closely with W-2 Onboarding team-members to ensure applicants are being onboarded with minimal idle-time
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process. Develop best practices for worker engagement and notify teams of the most effective timelines for engagement quality as we optimize Recruiting Operations.
  • Track metrics such as “application-to-interview”, “interview-to-onboarded”, and “interview-to-placed” in order to gauge process efficiency and surface blockers
  • Travel within the Inland Empire and South/East LA market approximately 1-2x per week with higher frequency based on business needs. Occasionally travel to Northern California based on business launches or hiring events.

Who you are:

  • Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based etc)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc)
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS), as well as working with Artificial Intelligence tools to help with efficient screening and repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish
  • Access to a reliable car and the ability to travel to within targeted local market areas

Pay range:

The expected pay range for this position is $35-39/hour. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, and years and depth of relevant experience. Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Wonolo’s equity plan as well as a range of health and wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
