We are looking for a Vice President of Demand to help scale the company from the growth stage to IPO and beyond. In this role, you will be a trusted member of the leadership team and will oversee our Demand strategy working cross-functionally to drive the development and iteration of programs and products that support our customer acquisition and growth efforts.
The Demand team at Wonolo owns all customer touchpoints in our Requestor (Customer) lifecycle from acquisition to onboarding to growth and retention. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Demand will oversee all customer-facing teams including our Sales Development Representatives, Sales, Account Growth, and Sales Enablement.

What you'll do:

  • Drive team objectives and strategies to achieve targets
  • Develop and drive key strategies and initiatives to meet longer-term growth plans across all customer-facing teams
  • Build customer relationships
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with other internal stakeholders. Specifically, partner with Marketing, Business Ops, Product, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure there is a deep understanding of customer needs and alignment against key initiatives to drive our success
  • Analyze and improve current processes and ensure the proper use of tools to track performance
  • Build a high-performing team by providing strong mentorship, coaching, and guidance
  • Ensure timely recognition and reward for top achievers and implement performance management actions when needed
  • Monitor market trends and provide regular feedback and analysis from the field.
  • Support investor relations, including board decks and investor updates, as well as help shape our Demand team narrative and strategy
  • Travel approx 30%

Who you are:

  • 15+ years of experience and a proven track record of success in Sales, Account Management, or Customer Success, at high-growth technology companies
  • Extremely customer-centric
  • Sales or sales leadership experience in consumption-based models with a focus on large mid-market. Experience across light industrial and/or hospitality is desirable
  • A deep understanding of the Sales Tech stack and demonstrated data-driven decision making
  • Experience leading distributed teams
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of driving impact through influence and accountability
  • High sense of urgency and execution speed. Loves being “in it” with the team
  • Low ego and coachable. A direct communicator with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Pay Range:

  • The expected pay range for this position is $315,000 - $430,000 CAD OTE per year. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, and years and depth of relevant experience. Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Wonolo’s equity plan as well as a range of health and wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
