Role Overview

We're looking for a Runtime Software Engineer with strong skills in Rust and Go to join our team. In this role, you'll be crucial in developing and optimizing the runtime environment that enables efficient AI execution on diverse local hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance runtime systems for AI model execution
• Optimize memory management, threading, and I/O operations for efficient AI workloads
• Develop APIs and SDKs that allow seamless integration of our runtime with various applications
• Collaborate with the AI team to ensure optimal performance of AI models in local environments
• Contribute to the development of tools for monitoring and debugging runtime performance
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems programming or runtime development
• Expert-level proficiency in Rust and strong skills in Go
• Deep understanding of operating systems, memory management, and low-level optimization techniques
• Experience with concurrent and parallel programming
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their runtime requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WebAssembly runtime development
• Familiarity with CUDA or other GPU programming frameworks
• Contributions to open-source projects related to runtime systems or AI
• Knowledge of edge computing and resource-constrained environments
