The People Operations Generalist is responsible for overseeing day-to-day People operations, ensuring smooth and efficient people processes, leading process improvements, policy changes, ensuring compliance, and providing support to employees. This role is multifaceted, encompassing areas like onboarding, offboarding, compliance, learning & development, benefits management, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives. Please note this role is onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all People inquiries, including policy/procedure interpretation, exit interviews, and employee relations escalating issues appropriately.
  • Manages full lifecycle employee processes, this includes designing delightful onboarding programs and thoughtful LOAs and efficient offboarding creating a positive experience for new hires and seamless transitions for all employees.
  • Manage People programs and L&D resources that promote company growth and foster a thriving, employee-centric culture.
  • Manage the health and safety program and efforts for employees, ensuring compliance with Workhub and QC labour laws. Continuously review all health and safety materials, including HS boards, H&S committee, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Manage employee performance review cycles and ensure timely completion;
  • Support the launch of employee engagement surveys, implementation of programs to improve engagement, retention, and company culture.
  • Execute a variety of People projects and initiatives as SRTX scales. These could range in subject matter from projects that support scaling our culture to maintaining career-leveling systems to Management/IC Training - all with the goal of supporting our employees in growing their careers and skills.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll system-related inquiries and issues as well as become the backup for payroll processing.
  • Drive projects from business proposals, requirements gathering, planning, development, implementation, stakeholder management and on-going support through use of analytics

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a People function
  • HR degree or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
