We are seeking a dynamic Produce Sales Trader to become an important member of the Marketplace team. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of our Marketplace customers, helping them find and trade with the best counterparty(s). This position will require close collaboration with our customers and a desire to become an expert in fresh produce trading. A successful Produce Trader will help our customers get the most out of our services and collaborate effectively across our sales, engineering, and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all Marketplace account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Act as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas including product, operations, and sales
  • Influence customer lifetime value through higher product adoption and customer satisfaction
  • Take ownership of customers' issues and follow problems through to resolution
  • Meet weekly and monthly quotas regarding client adoption and trading volume

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree, or equivalent years of experience, required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales, account management, or similar customer-facing role; Sales experience required
  • 1-2 years of produce background - sales/quality assurance position preferred
  • A strong “hunter” background is highly preferred
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and email etiquette, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in challenging situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter that thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced startup environment with the demonstrated capacity to lead, motivate and work well with others
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive to accomplish what is necessary to solve problems
  • A highly collaborative individual with a team-first mentality

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
