Key Responsibilities
As the Vice President of Global Sales, you will be responsible for defining and executing Oyster’s global sales strategy across the AMER and EMEA regions. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will lead a high-performing team of sales leaders and sales executives, while collaborating closely with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal. You will be accountable for scaling revenue, driving operational excellence, and evolving a high-integrity sales culture aligned with Oyster’s mission and values.
Strategic Leadership
Define and evolve Oyster’s global go-to-market strategy, aligning regional segmentation and structure with market opportunity and maturity.
Identify whitespace opportunities within our ICP and design repeatable, scalable playbooks for both new business and expansion.
Build and optimize pipeline generation strategies to drive predictable, sustainable growth across regions and customer segments.
Leverage data and market intelligence to continuously refine the sales strategy, improve efficiency, and inform headcount and investment decisions.
Translate company-level goals into regional sales plans with clearly defined KPIs, forecast accuracy, and performance accountability.
Operational Excellence
Drive performance against quota, Net Dollar Retention, and win rate targets through disciplined sales execution and leadership.
Ensure accurate, data-driven forecasting and reporting using Salesforce and associated GTM tools.
Coach sales leaders and teams to improve funnel conversion, shorten sales cycles, and enhance productivity.
Standardize key sales processes while allowing for appropriate regional flexibility.
Cultivate a high-performance, feedback-driven culture rooted in accountability and continuous improvement.
People Leadership & Culture
Lead, develop, and retain a diverse team of high-performing sales leaders and ICs, fostering a culture of ownership, trust, and growth.
Champion a coaching-led leadership model that promotes autonomy, resilience, and development at every level.
Model empathetic, values-based leadership—especially through ambiguity and change.
Promote inclusion and belonging across globally distributed teams, ensuring Oyster is a place where people can do the best work of their lives.
Cross-functional Partnership
Partner closely with Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success to streamline go-to-market motions and accelerate deal velocity.
Serve as the global voice of the sales organization in company-wide GTM planning and strategic initiatives.
Establish strong feedback loops to inform product strategy, customer experience, and market positioning.
-
Build trust and alignment with executive stakeholders across regions and time zones through clear, outcome-oriented communication.
Minimum Requirements
12+ years of progressive B2B SaaS sales experience, including 5+ years in global leadership roles across multiple regions.
Proven track record of leading through second- and third-line sales managers in high-growth, remote-first environments.
Demonstrated success selling to SMB and Mid-Market customers in competitive, fast-paced markets.
Direct experience in HR tech or a closely related domain, with a strong grasp of the buyer landscape and value drivers.
Expertise in pipeline development strategies and consistent overperformance against revenue targets.
Proficiency in Salesforce and modern GTM tech stack, with deep knowledge of sales metrics, reporting, and process optimization.
