About the Opportunity

As the Director of Market Research at MakerSights, you will lead the charge in driving insights that inform our marketing, customer, and product strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of traditional and innovative research methodologies, coupled with the ability to synthesize and present findings in impactful ways. You will be the go-to expert for research-driven insights, supporting both internal teams and external clients with data that drives business decisions in the apparel, footwear, and accessory space.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Insights Reports Design, Packaging, and Presentation: Building, standardizing and advising on the methods, execution and packaging of findings for different audiences, ensuring that insights are clear, actionable, and aligned with marketing and sales objectives.
  • Marketing Research and Storytelling: Lead the execution of “research as offense” to support top-of-funnel pipeline generation, working in partnership with the marketing and sales teams to identify relevant research topics and package + communicate the insights for different audiences.
  • Enablement: Work closely with internal teams, such as revenue, product, and marketing, to ensure they have the tools, training, and understanding necessary to leverage research insights effectively. Develop resources, workshops, and materials to enable teams to make data-driven decisions and use insights to support their goals.

External Responsibilities

  • Market Research Advisory: Collaboration with key Consumer Insights leaders at brands on the optimal design and execution of their MakerSights Insights Program.
  • Project Execution: Serve as a research industry expert, supporting key client-facing conversations and collaborating with key clients on custom research projects.
  • Special Projects Management: Lead and execute special research projects, such as audience calibration, and custom research, from discovery through to presentation. Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, define project goals, and deliver impactful results.

Your Experience:

  • Proven experience in market research, preferably within the apparel, footwear, and/or accessory sectors. This includes but is not limited to quantitative research, qualitative research, survey design, scripting & analysis, focus groups, social listening, and global strategy.
  • A proactive partner with our Revenue Team, focusing on generating and communicating research to support our Revenue Goals
  • Comfortable working as an Individual Contributor who is partnering cross functionally, and building out a function within our team
  • Flexible and proactive problem solver who finds creative ways to tackle client objectives.
  • Experience in managing special projects and delivering custom research solutions to clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex research findings in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary Range: The Salary Range for this position is $160K - $200K annually, with exact salary depending on location as well as prior work experience and the assessment of one's fit for the role.
