Team Overview

Luminar Technologies is seeking an Executive Support Engineer who as part of the Customer Support team will manage all aspects of technology used by the executive team including the CEO such as collaboration tools, laptops, desktops, phones, and AV equipment. The engineer will be required to travel on occasion with senior executives to critical meetings such as investor presentations or all hands meetings to ensure a world class technology experience. The engineer needs to communicate clearly, collaborate with confidence, exhibit expert level technical knowledge, and provide a unique white glove service experience. In addition, the engineer will assist the IT support team with tickets and other issues, as time permits, for issues relating to the general population of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Urgently respond to all needs of senior executives to ensure quick resolution by being the single point of contact within IT
  • Support AV meetings, board meetings or others as assigned
  • Travel on occasion with senior executives to ensure quick resolution for any technology issues
  • Proactively manage all equipment including AV used by executives including conference rooms to ensure that its performing at its peak
  • Partner with AV provider as needed
  • Install, configure, support, and maintain all technology used by senior executives
  • Provide support to C-Level leaders, the CEO, and direct staff on site at the corporate and global offices
  • Ensure that software rollouts, changes, etc. have minimal impact to the C-Suite clientele
  • Understand and deliver IT solutions to meet their personal working and business needs
  • Establish a working professional relationship with, and partner with, both internal and external Teams and SMEs to resolve any issue
  • Proactively test and manage the array of technology that Executives use for day-to-day productivity and events to ensure working order
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years supporting end users and executives
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows and the Apple Mac Ecosystem
  • Experience with AV equipment and collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams)
  • Experience with both the Google Workspace and Microsoft ecosystem
  • Ability to work in high pressure, fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting senior executives
  • Creston Programming Certification or working knowledge
  • Experience in large corporations with locations around the world
  • Adept at assessing a situation for severity, urgency and responding appropriately
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues with a wide array of hardware and software in a fast paced corporate office environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of learning and understanding new technologies quickly and developing a proficiency that establishes confidence and provides results
  • Intermediate experience working with Apple and PC hardware, operating systems, mobile phones, tablets, peripherals and accessories
  • Knowledge of corporate software, productivity tools, architecture and systems administration
  • Ability to operate and travel between different sites and locations
  • Possesses the ability to design, propose, setup and test IT solutions for events, meetings, and varying environments
  • Ability to read and gauge clients to determine the right amount of needed interaction in any given scenario
  • Exceptionally responsive and customer service and satisfaction oriented
  • Flexible with work hours to provide necessary services as needed
  • Travel for event setup and support
  • Effectively provide remote support via remote control and/or verbal instruction
  • Familiar with Active Directory, Google Workspace, Group Policy

At Luminar, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays a base between $150,000.00 and $170,000.00* per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
