About the role

The Compensation Analyst reporting to the Head of Total Rewards & Compensation is responsible for enabling the compensation and benefits processes and programs with limited oversight. Assists in the implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs. Evaluates salaried, hourly, middle, and top management positions. Assists in administration of performance appraisal and salary administration programs, reviewing changes in wages and salaries for conformance to policy. Audits evaluation of positions and application of existing classifications to individuals. Conducts and participates in compensation surveys. Assists in updating the salary structures. Supports benefits programs with reporting, file transfers, analytics, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation and maintenance of our global total rewards strategy. Ensure our programs are aligned with Luminar values and mission while informed by the market.

  • Reviews and approves offers for professional level and below for client group.
  • Performs routine and ad-hoc analysis of employee pay.
  • Supports job evaluation process for Director level and below.
  • Maintains job profile data.
  • Participates in salary surveys.
  • Maintains compensation grade profiles.
  • Creates compensation data load files for the systems team.
  • Analyze and interpret relevant market data, and develop recommendations for updates to job architecture, salary structures, and benefits offerings; propose salary increase budgets on a global basis and administer all rewards lifecycle actions (job pricing, focal cycle administration, equity refresh cycle, open enrollment).
  • Maintains salary structures and geographic differentials.
  • Maintains market pricing software and updates benchmark data.
  • Supports process improvement activity.
  • Analyze and interpret relevant market data, and develop recommendations for updates to job architecture, salary structures, and benefits offerings; propose salary increase budgets on a global basis and administer all rewards lifecycle actions (job pricing, focal cycle administration, equity refresh cycle, open enrollment).
  • Assist in preparation of policies/procedures to ensure competitive employee compensation. Maintain a thorough knowledge of labor laws, federal and state local legislations influencing compensation and award programs
  • Ensure programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs.
  • Support and maintain the total rewards program, including rewards HRIS configuration and partnership with external solution providers.
  • Build trusting relationships with business leaders, HR colleagues and employees to develop a deep understanding of the organization’s workforce and retention opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Immigration and other stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a Compensation focused role.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Experience with Restricted Stock Units.
  • Previous experience using Workday Payroll.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Excel proficiency or other modeling tools
  • Strong human relations, organizational / time management and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
  • Prior global payroll experience in a company with +2,000 employees with preference given to publicly traded companies.
  • Previous business-facing HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or role-related experience
