All this is accomplished while integrating with the operator’s Warehouse Management System, utilizing, and optimizing existing facility infrastructure.

Join a cutting-edge team shaping the future of intelligent robotics! As a Senior Mechanical Engineer within our Advanced Products Group, you’ll play a pivotal role in evaluating and developing next-generation robotic solutions on a 2–4 year roadmap leveraging emerging technologies. This hybrid role offers flexibility for remote work while ensuring hands-on collaboration at our Nashua, NH office during critical development phases. You’ll lead the design and rapid prototyping of innovative mechanical systems while also driving scalable, mid-to-high volume product development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and validate mechanical components and complex systems for robotics and electro-mechanical automation.
  • Develop 3D models, simulations, and engineering calculations using SolidWorks to bring concepts to life.
  • Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and identify opportunities for improvement. Iterate and refine designs based on performance feedback.
  • Continuously improve existing mechanical designs to enhance performance, reduce cost, and increase efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and bills of materials.

Qualifications

  • BS+ in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics, automation, or mechatronics.
  • Prior experience selecting BLDC and stepper motors, sensors, and other electro-mechanical components.
  • Exposure to mechanism design using common parts like belt and gear drives, lead screw, linkages, etc.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
  • Expertise using Solidworks and PDM in a multi-user environment.
  • Well-versed in technical drawings and tolerancing for basic parts.
  • Proficient English written and verbal communications skills required to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
