Job Title: Cost Estimator Manager

Location: Remote (Monterrey, México)

Are you ready to elevate your career in cost estimation? Fictiv México is on the lookout for a talented Cost Estimator Manager to spearhead our cost estimation processes. This pivotal role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and seeks to make a global impact from the comfort of their home in Monterrey.

What You’ll Do:

- Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of cost estimators, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.

- Innovate Processes: Develop and implement cutting-edge cost estimation methodologies that enhance our efficiency and accuracy.

- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with project managers and engineers to collect vital project information and specifications.

- Analyze and Estimate: Dive into project documentation, including specifications and drawings, to create precise and comprehensive cost estimates.

- Benchmarking Expertise: Maintain an extensive database of historical costs to support benchmarking and strategic analysis.

- Quality Assurance: Review and validate team estimates to ensure thoroughness and precision.

- Identify Savings: Spot cost-saving opportunities and suggest strategies that enhance project profitability.

- Present with Clarity: Communicate detailed cost estimates to stakeholders, providing clear justifications and explanations.

- Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of industry trends to ensure our pricing strategies remain competitive and effective.

- Ensure Compliance: Uphold company policies and adhere to industry regulations in all estimation practices.

Physical Demands:

- This position may involve sitting, walking, and using hands for tasks such as typing and handling documents. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

Travel Expectations:

- Occasional travel may be required, estimated at 11-25%.

What We’re Looking For:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of five years in cost estimation, including at least five years in a managerial role.

- Certifications: Professional certification, such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), is a plus.

- Industry Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing sectors like injection molding, sheet metal, and CNC processes.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in 3D CAD tools and estimating software.

- Analytical Mind: Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management capabilities.

- Industry Standards: In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
