  • Build and manage high-performing and engaged Salesforce engineering teams.

  • Guide and Coach the Scrum Teams on following agile best practices and principles to deliver high-quality products, facilitate and support all scrum events
  • Create a technical vision and communicate it effectively to the team
  • Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Align technical decisions with business goals and product roadmap
  • Provide high-level technical recommendations, approaches, and feedback.
  • Plan for scalability and future growth of the company
  • Work with the Architect, in defining the Technical roadmap, and technology modernization initiatives and also in reducing the overall Tech Debt
  • Manage integrations with third-party systems
  • Take the overall responsibility of ensuring the engineering deliverables by the Scrum teams, are on schedule and quality, adhering to the engineering standards, best practices, and metrics

You will report to the Director of IT Engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of the Salesforce engineering teams and drive excellence.
  • Brainstorm ideas of how to improve training, process, hiring, etc
  • Participate in your team’s coaching, personal development, performance management, and career growth.
  • Set clear expectations and goals for team members and create opportunities for team members to showcase their work
  • Facilitate team-building activities
  • Build an in-depth understanding of the code owned by the team.
  • Encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Establish clear sprint cycles and goals and improve our agile methodologies
  • As a scrum master, implement effective stand-ups and sprint reviews and conduct regular retrospectives to identify areas for improvement
  • Identify and address recurring issues in development cycles and improve speed of development.
  • Ensure code quality and best practices
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders in understanding the requirements and translating them into technical designs.
  • Provide high-level technical recommendations, approaches, and feedback.
  • Create and maintain project timelines
  • Identify dependencies between different systems and facilitate communication between cross-functional teams.
  • Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many multi-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers.
  • Conduct risk assessments throughout the project’s lifecycle and provide updates to the stakeholder’s progress of each project you manage.
  • Resolve cross-team coordination issues that may impact progress.
  • Manage expectations and negotiate scope changes.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes when trade-offs are necessary
  • Ensure smooth handoff between development, QA, and plan for the software releases.
  • Identify repetitive tasks that can be automated
  • Encourage the development of internal tools to boost productivity
  • Allocate time for refactoring and system improvements
  • Encourage experimentation with new tools or methodologies

Desired Traits

  • 12+ years of overall experience in engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working in Salesforce
  • 3+ years of leading software engineering teams in an agile environment
  • Experience in hiring, mentoring, and leading engineers
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce product and platform features, capabilities, and best use of it
  • A good understanding of enterprise architecture principles is strongly preferred
  • Active Salesforce Certifications are desirable (preferably Development Lifecycle & Deployment Architect, Application Architect,
  • Experience in Mulesoft is a plus
  • Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technological and business concepts
  • Experience in CI/CD
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies and practices
  • Prior experience leading teams in an agile environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem-solving
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
