The Role

As a Senior Engineer, Load Integration & Model Development at Crusoe, you will play a critical role in expanding our energy infrastructure and integrating our large-load facilities into the electric grid. You will be a key individual contributor, focusing on the complex challenges of connecting and optimizing our operations within the grid, including ERCOT, SPP, MISO, PJM etc.. This position requires deep technical expertise in power systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a rapidly evolving industry. This role will be fully on-site at either our Denver (255 Fillmore Street) or San Francisco (225 Bush Street) offices.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Performing and supporting grid integration studies for large-loads

  • Running technical power flow studies and supporting the submission of interconnection applications for Crusoe's facilities, ensuring technical data verification and sufficiency at various stages

  • Managing transmission injection Performing load deliverability studies in SPP and MISO based on regional criteria

  • Working with internal teams to understand project needs, drafting technical specifications, and supporting the business development team on the technical aspects of proposals related to grid integration.

  • Staying abreast of industry trends, attending conferences, and supporting other travel as required for projects and professional development

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Master's degree in Power Systems with 3+ years of experience in power system or bachelor’s and 7+ years of experience in planning , interconnection studies and system modeling

  • Strong working knowledge of SPP or MISO interconnection procedures and transmission planning

  • Working knowledge of TARA, PSS/e, Sugar

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and report writing skills.

Compensation:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $120,000 - $150,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
