Tax Manager

The Tax Manager will lead all aspects of tax operations. This role will report to the Corporate Controller.
This is a full-time position located in Redwood City, CA. (hybrid 3 day in person work schedule).
You will…
- Prepare the annual income tax provision, including GILTI, R&D credit, foreign subsidiaries, state apportionment, and tax footnote in accordance with ASC 740
- Compile data for property tax filings and review of filings
- Provide data for outside service providers to prepare VAT returns in various jurisdictions in Europe, North America, and Japan
- Review and approve annual income tax filings, VAT filings and monthly sales tax filings (using the Vertex application).
- Prepare transfer pricing adjustments quarterly
- Respond to notices from tax authorities
- Coordinate statutory filings in Europe, North America, and Asia.
- File 1099s and FinCEN/FBARs
- Act as main point of contact for tax audits as they arise
- Manage third party service providers and maintain budget for work performed by service providers
- Facilitate tax registration in foreign jurisdictions
- Work cross functionally with legal, operations, and logistics teams in order to provide guidance on tax implications for business initiatives
- Support the annual financial statement audit by providing support and answering tax related questions

Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting, including federal, state, and
- international tax
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel

In order to maintain equitable internal pay practices, we aim to hire new employees near the midpoint of $166,000, taking into account your experience, work location, certifications, and the unique skills you bring to the role. Your actual salary will be based on your experience, certifications and the unique skills you bring to the role.
