Working at the intersection of hardware, software, and molecular science, Carbon is commercializing a fundamental advance in the chemistry of 3D printing that enables massive increases in print speed and improved material properties. We believe our technology will enable commercial customers to go beyond basic prototyping to mass production of 3D printed parts.
We are seeking a VP to lead and be responsible for all aspects of the supply chain at Carbon. This role will work cross functionally and report to the SVP of Operations. The successful candidate will partner with Engineering, Product, Business Development and other groups to ensure continual improvement.
This role will be based in our Redwood City, CA facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with cross functional leaders to develop strategies that align supply chain activities with business objectives
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in supply chain operations
  • Developing a network of suppliers to ensure the company always has access to the materials it needs at competitive prices
  • Ensuring the company has adequate planning processes to ensure inventory to meet customer demand while avoiding overstocking or shortages
  • Managing the efficient flow of material through the supply chain
  • Ensuring suppliers meet quality standards for their products and supporting Quality to effectively root cause and correct issues that arise

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s required, Masters preferred, in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, engineering, or a related field
  • Experienced leader w/ 15+ years of experience in progressive leadership roles with in supply chain
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including demand planning, inventory management, sourcing, procurement, production planning, transportation, warehousing, and distribution
  • Experience with chemical/materials and/or electro mechanical supply chain preferred
  • Proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, set strategic direction, and drive organizational change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, as well as external partners and suppliers
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving supplier performance improvements
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and driving operational excellence throughout the supply chain

At Carbon, we look at the person holistically and carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The pay range for this position is $214,200 - $320,800. Your actual salary will be based on your experience, work location, certifications and the unique skills you bring to the role. If you are not based in our Redwood City office, the range above will be adjusted for the geographical differential associated with your actual work location.
