The Role

As the Director of Engineering for Platform, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the core systems that power AiDASH’s AI-driven products. You’ll oversee teams responsible for building scalable, reliable, and secure platforms that enable our product and data engineering organizations to innovate faster and deliver value at scale.

You’ll play a critical leadership role in shaping our cloud architecture, data infrastructure, developer productivity frameworks, and overall engineering excellence. This is a highly strategic and technical role for a leader who thrives on enabling others to build world-class systems.

• Cultivate an environment of ownership, innovation, challenge the status quo and open up the boundaries in every aspect of development

• Drive architectural decisions for large-scale, complex applications and services, ensuring scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and performance

• Lead the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring high quality, technical integrity, and timely delivery

• Provide expert guidance and hands-on mentorship on complex technical challenges

• Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and professional growth within engineering

• Cultivate strong relationships with partners such as Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success

What we’re looking for:

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in engineering management with direct experience leading managers and senior ICs across distributed teams.

• Proven success delivering scalable enterprise grade cloud-based platforms (AWS or similar).

• Strong foundation in **data platforms, pipelines, and distributed systems**, with experience in technologies such as Python, Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, and modern API design.

• Experience with **ETL and batch processing of large datasets**; exposure to image data or similar unstructured datasets a plus.

• Strong understanding of AI and ML workflows for both training and inference.

• Experience collaborating across matrixed organizations to influence and deliver on business goals.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and mentor diverse technical talent and build inclusive teams.

• Executive-level communication and influence, with a track record of **partnering with product and business leaders** to set and deliver on strategy.
