What's the role?
AiDash is searching for a highly motivated and strategic Delivery Manager to join our expanding geospatial team. In this critical role, you will spearhead the efficient delivery of internal geospatial analysis projects, empowering cross-functional teams collaboration and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. This will require efficient resourcing, scheduling and execution of various internal project deliveries and optimal utilisation of internal resources.
What will you do?
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
1. Build and lead a high-performing team of geospatial professionals with diverse skills and experiences, including expertise in remote sensing technologies like satellite imagery, aerial imagery, and LiDAR.
2. Foster a collaborative and problem-solving environment that encourages cross-team communication and knowledge sharing.
3. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, empowering them to contribute effectively and advance their skills.
4. Delegate tasks strategically and hold team members accountable for their deliverables.
Resourcing and Scheduling:
1. Assess project requirements and resource needs, including geospatial analysts.
2. Best utilise the cross functional teams and internal team allocated to you.
3. Develop and maintain resource forecasts and scheduling plans that optimize team utilization and workload balance across projects.
4. Proactively manage resource risks and identify potential conflicts or gaps, implementing contingency plans as needed.
Internal Project Management:
1. Manage the complete project lifecycle for internal geospatial analysis initiatives, from needs assessment and project initiation to execution, monitoring, and closure.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to clearly understand project requirements, objectives, and success metrics.
3. Proactively track project progress, identify and address roadblocks swiftly, and communicate updates to stakeholders transparently.
Process Adherence:
1. Establish and maintain clear internal processes and best practices for geospatial analysis projects.
2. Develop and document reusable templates, methodologies, and knowledge bases for future reference and standardization.
3. Encourage cross-team knowledge sharing through workshops, presentations, and internal communities.
Technical Expertise:
1. Possess a deep understanding of geospatial analysis principles, methodologies, and relevant tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, image processing, internal platforms).
2. Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in the field of geospatial analysis.
3. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure projects leverage the most appropriate technologies and best practices.
What are we looking for?
- Master's degree in geospatial, remote sensing, photometry, Geography, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the geospatial analysis domain.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex internal projects on time, within budget, and with optimal resource utilization.
- Strong understanding of Agile project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across departments.
- Proficient in project management tools like Jira or similar.
- Experience working with geospatial analysis software like ArcGIS, QGIS, or ENVI is a plus along with satellite, areal and remote sensing.
